Middle-aged man wanted for trio of daytime break-ins: Toronto cops

An unidentified man is sought following a string of daytime break-ins in Toronto.

Toronto Police said the first incident happened on April 30, when a man broke into a home in the Bathurst St.-Shallmar Blvd. area, stole mail and fled.

Then on June 10, a man was seen in the passenger seat of a white Land Rover Evoque in the Academy Rd.-Gary Dr. area.

Police said the man exited the vehicle and broke into a home. Once inside, cops said he stole a quantity of jewelry. He was last seen walking eastbound on Limerick Ave.

Three days later, on Friday, cops said a man broke into a home in the York Mills Rd.-Fenside Dr. area. However, the homeowner returned and the man fled.

The suspect is described as 47 to 52 years old and between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot with a medium build and grey hair. He was wearing black-framed glasses, gloves and was carrying a black backpack.
