Mississauga man charged with historic sexual assaults

Peel Regional Police have charged a man in connection with two historic sexual assault investigations.
Police say on July 12, 2004, a 20-year-old woman was approached by a man in the area of Mclaughlin Rd. and Ceremonial Dr. in Mississauga and was allegedly sexually assaulted.
On Feb. 11, 2005, police say a 16-year-old girl was approached by the same man in the area of Balmoral Dr. and Bramalea Rd. in Brampton and was allegedly sexually assaulted.
Both incidents were reported to police at the time.
On Monday, following an investigation, known as Project Shadow, police arrested Justin Foley, 43, of Mississauga, and charged him with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of use imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of disguise with intent, utter threats, and overcome resistance to commission of offence.
There is a publication ban in place to protect the identity of the victims.
