Shooting at North York karaoke bar sends man to hospital

Toronto police are investigating after a man opened fire inside a North York karaoke bar early Monday, injuring one.
Emergency crews were called to YYDS KTV near Victoria Park Ave. and Tempo Ave. — just north of McNicoll Ave. — after shots rang out just after 12:45 a.m.
Police located a male with gunshot wounds, who was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
The shooter reportedly fled before police arrived.
The suspect is described as a slim, 5-foot-4 East Asian male between 20 to 30 years old, wearing dark clothing.

This shooting comes just days after a man in his 30s was left fighting for his life after a downtown Toronto shooting just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday near John and Adelaide.
A 26-year-old Mississauga man faces aggravated assault and firearms charges, while a 22-year-old Toronto man faces firearms charges.
Both men appeared in court on Sunday.
