DRIVER WHO CRASHED INTO MUSKOKA TENNIS COURT SOUGHT
Cops north of Toronto are seeking the driver of a car that smashed through a fence and came to a rest in a golf course’s tennis court, causing substantial damage.
Just after 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning, police were called to Windermere Golf and Country Club in Muskoka Lakes Township — about 230 km north of Toronto — after a quad-cab pickup truck ended up in a tennis court.
“The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence, coming to rest on a tennis court (and) causing significant damage to the both the property and the vehicle,” said a news release from Bracebridge OPP.
“The driver fled the scene and has not yet been located.”
Photos from the scene show a truck with serious damage that appears to be burned out.

Police in Caledon charged a tow-truck driver as part of an ongoing investigation.
The investigation began in April 26 after a tow truck was caught on video driving in an unsafe manner, in which it left the paved portion of a road in Brampton, used the sidewalk to get around traffic and drove through a red light.
Police charged the driver, a 27-year-old Brampton man whom police chose not to identify, with stunt driving, careless driving and failing to stop at a red light. His driver’s licence was also suspended for 30 days.
