The Pennsylvania couple was busted in January and charged with using a menagerie of animals on a bus for “bestiality purposes.” The former school bus contained dozens of turkeys, ducks and chickens that were allegedly neglected.

In addition, SPCA staff said a bull and pony hauled in a trailer attached to the bus were sexually abused.

Facing big jail time, Huff flipped, and the animal abuse charges against her were dropped.

“Following an interview with my office, Defendant Deanna Huff agreed to cooperate and testify against the co-defendant at trial if need be, hence why this agreement came to be. That was the basis for why the agreement was reached here,” Adams County Assistant District Attorney Kyle Reuter told CBS21.

Hirschbine is currently being prosecuted in neighbouring West Virginia. He allegedly sent shocking and explicit photos and videos that showed him having sex with the pony on the school bus.

The TV station also received an affidavit for Hirschbine’s West Virginia case. It outlined some of the shocking texts he allegedly sent to the teenager.

He wrote: “So what should I do? My female horse tries to watch me. What do u think she wants? What should I do bae? The female horse tries to watch me take these clothes off.”

Huff was sentenced to a minimum of 182 days in prison with a maximum of 23 months in the slammer. In addition, she was sentenced to five years of probation.

Wisely, she was forced to surrender the animals on the Bestiality Bus and is banned from owning animals while she is on probation.

Prosecutors in West Virginia said Hirschbine initially accepted a plea deal to have some of the stomach-churning charges dropped if he pleaded guilty. But the old dog then attempted to plead no contest (a guilty plea without admitting guilt). Neither his lawyers nor prosecutors had agreed to that deal.

Now the deal is off the table. He remains jailed.

When cops made the arrests, officers said the bus was fetid with “feces all over the place.” The called the situation “deplorable.”

The SPCA was not happy. The animal welfare group said in a statement: “While we understand that plea agreements are a part of the legal process, we must be honest in saying that had this case been handled appropriately from the beginning, the outcome might have delivered a more fitting sense of justice for the animals who suffered.

“Cases of this magnitude cause irreversible trauma to everyone involved. The images and suffering we witnessed will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

“This was one of the worst cases of animal cruelty because it involved acts of bestiality, something that should never happen, yet it did, over and over again!”
