Toronto Police have arrested and charged a man in the murder of his brother.
On Saturday at 11 p.m., police were called for a shooting in the Kingston-Markham Rds. area.
Police said the two men had been arguing before the victim was shot. Christopher Malcolm, 27, of Toronto, was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police said Carlton Malcolm, 25, of Toronto, was arrested on Sunday and charged with second-degree murder.
The victim and the suspect are believed to be siblings, police said.
“Christopher and Carlton are known to each other and are believed to be brothers,” Det.-Sgt. Amanda Thornton said at a news conference, via CP24.
Neither of them lived at the building, Thornton said, without divulging why they were there.
“The entire building at this point is being looked at and we’re obtaining video from the building as well as the exterior and the surrounding area,” she added.
