Twenty-year-old Cimran Farah died of his injuries on Thursday, sustained after he — along with a 20-year-old and a 51-year-old man police say was in the area — were shot in the parking lot of a strip mall on Kipling Ave. near Rountree Rd. just after 9 p.m. on Dec. 21.
Once on scene, police and paramedics encountered a violent scene — broken glass, shell casings and a bullet-riddled grey BMW, along with a discarded pair of Nike running shoes sitting outside the blown-out passenger side window.
No suspect information has been released by police.

The three men were rushed to hospital with serious injuries, one found by emergency crews at the scene without vital signs.
The plaza where the shooting took place is just blocks away from Toronto police 23 Division, located at Finch and Kipling.

The city’s latest gun murder occurred just days after a rash of shootings in the city – eight in the preceding 36 hours – including the city’s 94th and 95th homicides of 2018.
Gunfire has marred Christmas celebrations throughout the city this year.
On Dec. 22, a man sitting inside a car in a shopping centre parking lot at Lawrence Ave. and Allen Rd. was struck by bullets shortly after 4 a.m. His injuries were described by police as non-life threatening.
Just before 4 a.m. on Dec. 24, police were called to Yorkminster Rd. and Aldershot Cres. — near Yonge St. and the 401 —south of Hwy. 401 where they found a man in his 20s suffering from serious gunshot wounds.
Just 90 minutes later, another man in his 20s was found shot near Bergamot Ave. and Islington Ave., north of the 401.
He was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
And on Christmas Day, a man in his 40s was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds inside a building in Agincourt, near Sheppard Ave. and Kennedy. Rd., and was transported via emergency run to Sunnybrook in critical condition.
