Officers responded on Sunday at about 9:55 p.m. to a call about a stabbing in the Yonge St.-Hendon Ave. area, near the TTC’s Finch Station, Toronto Police said late Thursday night in a news release. A man was found lying in the southbound curb lane on Yonge before being transported a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The victim was identified on Monday as Joyous Magdirila, 23, of Toronto.
Police said on Thursday that a youth, whose age was not released, was charged with second-degree murder. They cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
