Police allege the doctor touched a patient in a sexual manner during two appointments

A doctor in Markham has been charged with sexual assault after alleged incidents involving a patient.
York Regional Police allege the doctor touched a patient in a sexual manner during an appointment on July 7.
They say that while speaking with investigators, the patient recalled an earlier appointment in November 2023 when the doctor’s actions were allegedly inappropriate in a similar way.
Police say the patient didn’t report it at the time because they thought it might have been part of a legitimate medical procedure.
Cops have released a photo of the doctor — who they say has been a practising physician for more than three decades — and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Saber Abdel Malouka Abdel Malak, 62, of Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, is facing two counts of sexual assault.
