Kingston woman arrested for assault and 'trying to take' children
Woman allegedly tried to take children from people on Montreal Street and allegedly spat on one person.

Kingston Police arrested a woman who allegedly accosted people on Montreal Street and was “trying to take their children” Friday evening.
Police were called to the 1130 Montreal St. area around 6:45 p.m. after receiving complaints about a woman who was screaming at people and trying to take their children.

She also allegedly spat on another person and was accusing others of trying to take her children.
Police were able to identify the woman and issued an arrest warrant for assault and to assess her overall wellbeing.
Police said Monday morning that they arrested the woman.
Ashley Deshane, 40, of Kingston is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
