Police said three young males were on board a southbound TTC train when they gained access to a rear operator cab and broadcast a message that there was a bomb on the train.
They then fled the station on foot with stolen property.
For safety reasons, the train and station were evacuated, but there were no injuries.
Three boys, all 17 years old and from Toronto, were arrested and charged with mischief over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and common nuisance/endangering lives or the safety of public.
