Ontario Provincial Police say officers with their Hawkesbury Detachment launched an investigation after receiving a report on June 23 of “inappropriate content” being sent to a teenage girl online.
Members of the Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit, assisted by local OPP officers and members of the Durham Regional Police Service, travelled to Ajax where they executed a search warrant and made an arrest on July 30, the OPP said in a statement released Wednesday.
Connor Lacourse, 28, is charged with luring a person under 16 by means of telecommunication, invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age, possession of child pornography, and transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under 16.
