Alleged drug dealer facing manslaughter charge after deadly overdose in Vaughan

York Regional Police have charged a man with manslaughter and drug trafficking following an overdose death in Vaughan.
Cops say on Sept. 15, 2024, officers responded to a report of a male without vital signs at a residence in the area of Bathurst St. and Ner Israel Dr.
Police say the victim was dead at the scene and the Office of the Chief Coroner classified it as an accidental overdose.
Through investigation, a suspect allegedly responsible for trafficking drugs in the York Region — including those sold to the deceased — was identified.
On Aug. 21, Farzam Jafari Roudsari, 29, of Georgina, was arrested and charged with manslaughter, two counts of breach of probation, six counts of trafficking schedule I substance, and five counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
A search warrant was also executed at his residence, where officers allegedly seized a quantity of controlled substances and proceeds of crime.
At the time of his arrest, Roudsari was on probation for unrelated offences which police did not detail.
