A second 16-year-old boy has now been charged in last weekend’s deadly stabbing of a 14-year-old boy at a McDonald’s in the Beaches.
Toronto Police say officers responded to the stabbing in the area of Eastern and Woodward Aves. – west of Coxwell Ave. – shortly after 10 p.m. on July 5.
“Paramedics were flagged down for reports of a stabbing near a fast-food restaurant,” Homicide Det.-Sgt. Alan Bartlett reiterated in a statement released Saturday.

A boy was found suffering from injuries and he was rushed to hospital where he died.
Abdoul Aziz Sarr, 14, of Toronto, was later identified as the city’s 19th murder victim of the year.

Area residents recalled to reporters at the scene that there were “massive crowds” at the McDonald’s on that Saturday night.
A 16-year-old Toronto boy turned himself in to police last Monday and was charged with first-degree murder.

And Bartlett said a second 16-year-old Toronto boy surrendered to police on Friday.
The teen now also faces a first-degree murder charge.
Neither of the accused can be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
