Investigators need help identifying a man sought for a series of retail robberies that occurred downtown late last year.
Toronto Police alleged the man struck three times in the areas of Bloor St. W. and Ossington Ave., Bloor St. E. and Sherbourne St., and College St. and Lansdowne Ave., last Dec. 5-11.

“In each call, it is reported that a lone male suspect attended a store,” said Insp. Joseph Matys, who heads up the Hold Up Unit, in a statement released Wednesday. “He approached the checkout counter, produced a handgun and made a demand for cash.”
He said the bandit fled empty-handed in the first two robberies but got away with an undisclosed amount of cash in his third heist.
Investigators have now released images of a suspect hoping members of the public will recognize him and come forward.
The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-8, with a medium build.
He is “considered armed and dangerous” and Matys advised anyone who spots him to “call 911 immediately.”
