Best seats at Rogers Centre to catch home run balls

Planning to attend a Toronto Blue Jays game sometime soon?

It can be confusing and exciting trying to figure out the best section at the Rogers Centre in which to sit.

But if you hope to catch a home run ball or high pop fly, then the folks at Casino.org have the best sections of the stadium to aim for.

They analyzed every home run location from the past three years across all teams and fields to find the best seats.

For the Rogers Centre, the best seats for home runs are in Sections 142 to 146, located right along the Jays’ bullpen and into left-centre.

In fact, it’s left field that gives Jays fans the best bang for their buck, a one-in-three chance of having a home run hit that way — though it’s up to fans to actually make the catch.

On the flip side is right-centre field, where fans have a meager 10.5% chance of a home run getting hit their way.

The study found that the Blue Jays ranked 13 out of all 30 MLB teams when it comes to hitting home runs.

The Atlanta Braves are in the top spot with the most HRs overall.

The St. Louis Cardinals are the team that hits the most homers to left field, the Seattle Mariners are most likely to hit to right field, while the Braves mostly hit it out to centre.

The Los Angeles Dodgers hit the most home runs to left-centre while the New York Yankees go to right-centre.
