Brampton man charged after victim shot multiple times: Peel cops

Police in Peel Region have arrested and charged a Brampton man in connection with a shooting.

On Wednesday, at 3:10 p.m., the suspect and a victim got into a verbal altercation in the area of McLaughlin Rd. and Bovaird Dr.

The argument led to the suspect allegedly shooting the victim multiple times.

Police say the suspect and victim are not known to each other.

On Friday, Damian Solomon turned himself in to police and was charged with attempted murder with a firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle with knowledge of a firearm, possession of a restricted device, possession of a loaded prohibited restricted firearm without a licence, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
