Brampton man faces alcohol-related charges after SUV crashes through backyards

A Brampton man is facing impaired charges after a spectacular crash was caught on home surveillance.

Peel Regional Police said they attended an incident that occurred Monday night at 6:47 p.m. which saw a grey KIA SUV veer off the roadway at Great Lake and Demaris Drs., southeast of Hwy. 410 and Sandalwood Pkwy. E., smashing through several backyard fences.

The final resting place for the vehicle was in a backyard that had tables and folding chairs put out for people to possibly enjoy a meal.

The entire front end of the KIA was smashed in along with its front windshield.

Luckily, nobody was injured.

In another video, a woman’s hand motions and she says “Look at this. This is our backyard.”

The unidentified woman then says a few things about the crash and the state of the backyards in Hindi while neighbours check out all the debris.

Police would not confirm the driver’s age, only saying he lives in Brampton.
