“On a Saturday night, I had a dream I’d won the lottery,” he told OLG. “The next morning, I told my wife about it – and then, on Monday, I found out it had come true.”

Amendola said he was at the store, scanning his second-to-last ticket, and he “had to do a double take.”

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! When I first told my wife about my dream, she laughed. But when I returned home from the store and told her I’d won big, she was at a loss for words,” he recalled.

“The next day, we went to the store together to validate my ticket. It went from a dream to reality,” Amendola explained. “How crazy is that?”

He said the win is “truly a blessing” that “couldn’t have come at a better time.”

And Amendola believes there may be another big win on the horizon for him.

“I can’t quite explain it, but I have a feeling something bigger will come my way,” he said. “I’m hopeful I’ll be back here at the OLG Prize Centre soon.”

For now, he plans to pay off bills and maybe plan a little trip for him and his wife.

The winning ticket was bought at Pine Valley Convenience on Willis Rd. in Vaughan.
