A spokesperson for the amusement park in Vaughan said in a statement that the attraction “is being retired and will be removed before the park opens in May.”
There were more than 9.3 million rides on the roller coaster since it first opened as Tomb Raider: The Ride in 2004, the spokesperson added. It featured four riders per car who were positioned face-down to simulate the sensation of flight.
The park did not reveal plans for the area once the ride is removed.
According to the Roller Coaster DataBase, the length of the now discontinued ride was 391 metres and it reached a height of just over 15 metres. The duration of the ride was approximately one minute.
Meanwhile, the park will debut a new roller coaster called the AlpenFury this year.

“We’re currently building the new coaster and anticipate it opening early in the 2025 season,” the spokesperson said.
Billed as the longest, tallest and fastest launch coaster in the country, AlpenFury will span 1,000 metres across the park and reach speeds of 115 km/h.
The ride will launch out of Wonder Mountain and flip and twist through nine inversions, the most of any launch coaster in North America, the park has said.
AlpenFury will be the park’s 19th roller coaster and will be associated with Alpenfest, a themed area of Canada’s Wonderland this year.
