York Regional Police have laid two breach of release order charges against a teacher-hockey coach convicted of two counts of sexual interference against a child known to him through hockey programs.
On Sept. 6, 2024, Kelvin Cheuk-Ho Lee was convicted of the sexual interference charges dating back to February 2022 and was due to be sentenced on April 25, 2025, but was released on bail with conditions that include not associating with children under the age of 16.
However, sometime in April, evidence was obtained that Lee had allegedly violated conditions of his release in Markham.
Investigators are releasing an updated photo of the accused as they believe Lee may have attended other locations and are asking any witnesses to please come forward.
