Cops identify Scarborough homicide victim

Police have identified the victim in a Scarborough homicide earlier this week as a 62-year-old Toronto man.

Toronto Police were called on Wednesday around 6 p.m. to a home near Birchmount and Chelwood Rds., south of Eglinton Ave. E., in Scarborough after concerned family members called police to check on two men who resided in the residence.

Cops arrived to find two men with obvious signs of trauma. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A Sun source confirmed the two dead are brothers and the older sibling stabbed the younger sibling to death, then took his own life.

On Friday, police identified the victim as David Foote and said the second deceased is a 67-year-old who is believed to be responsible for the death of the victim.

This is Toronto’s 18th homicide of 2025.
