According to Durham Regional Police, the victim was standing on the platform at Ajax GO Station at approximately 8:15 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown man.
It is alleged the victim and the suspect left the area of the platform at which time the victim was sexually assaulted.
The victim and suspect separated and both headed toward Toronto, police say. Toronto Police were contacted, who then contacted the Durham Regional Police.
The suspect is described as male, brown, 25-30 years, 5-foot-11, 200 pounds with a full beard. He was wearing a rain jacket and beige pants.
The special victims unit has now taken over the investigation and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
