Cops look to ID man sought for stabbing on TTC bus in Scarborough

The victim was stabbed in the leg and was taken to hospital for treatment

Investigators have released images of a man sought for a stabbing last week on a TTC bus in Scarborough hoping someone will recognize him and come forward.

Toronto Police say the violence erupted between two passengers on a transit bus that was northbound on Kennedy Rd. near Bertrand Ave. – north of Eglinton Ave. E. – around 6:20 p.m. on May 1.

“The victim and suspect got into a physical altercation on board the bus,” police said Wednesday. “The victim was stabbed in the lower leg.”

Police said the assailant fled the bus through the rear doors and was last seen walking in the area of Kennedy Rd. and Stratton Ave.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police are looking for a man who is described as having receding short black hair in an afro style. He was wearing a green puffer coat, cargo pants and black shoes at the time.
