A man in his 20s was found murdered in a pool of blood in an east-end apartment building Tuesday morning.
Toronto Police received a call for the sound of gunfire at 75 Eastdale Ave., in the Danforth Ave. and Dawes Rd. area, at about 5 a.m.
The victim, Warren Pearson, 21, of Toronto, was found in the stairwell on the second floor along with a number of shell casings.

Det. Stephen Henkel says police are looking for a group of men believed to be in their 20s who were in the building’s lobby between midnight and 1:30 a.m.
“We aren’t sure if the victim was with these suspects,” Henkel said, adding police are conducting door-to-door canvasses and reviewing surveillance video.
Police haven’t recovered a weapon and an autopsy is needed to determine how many times the victim may have been shot.
Antonio, who lives on the second floor of the building, said there was an altercation involving young men on his floor Monday afternoon but he doesn’t know if that was related to the shooting.
“I’ve lived here two months but my roommates have been here for 10 years and there is a lot of movement by sketchy people here, into drugs everyday,” he said.
One woman told the Sun that like many residents, she has lived in the building for more than 20 years.
“It’s a nice building and most people have dogs,” Mandy said. “This is sad that there are drugs in the building, but let’s be sensible: It’s Toronto. You will find drugs anywhere — even on the Bridle Path.’
