Cops seeking relatives of dead Toronto man originally from Jamaica

Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help locating the next of kin of a man who died more than two months ago.

Police on Friday said Sylbert Blackwood, 60, who also went by the name Anthony Black, died Sept. 13 at a residence in the Driftwood Ave. and Grandravine Dr. area.

Authorities said they have been unable to locate any of the man’s relatives to inform them of his passing.

It’s believed some of Blackwood’s family members may still live in Jamaica where he emigrated from in the late 1980s, cops said.
