The child, who’s in stable condition, was airlifted to a hospital. Both vehicles remained at the scene and an adult in one of the vehicles also suffered minor injuries.
Police said they are hoping to locate a possible witness who was driving a red SUV, likely a Land Rover Discovery.

An attacker assaulted a victim repeatedly before fleeing along Danforth Ave., according to Toronto Police.
A person approached the attacker in the Danforth-Victoria Park Ave. area on Saturday and they began talking before the assault in which the assailant allegedly inflicted injuries — not considered to be life threatening — on the victim, according to police.

Police, who released an image of a suspect, urged anyone with information to call 416-808-5500.
Hamilton youth sexually assaulted on walking trail in Hamilton
A man sexually assaulted a 17-year-old youth on a walking trail in an area south of Battlefield Park in Stoney Creek, according to Hamilton Police.
Officers said the crime happened on April 3 around 2 p.m. and involved an unknown male suspect.
Police say officers are looking for a white man who’s bald, in his mid-50s, and around 5-foot-10. He’s believed to have driven a newer model, grey, two-door Dodge RAM pickup truck.
