CRIME SCENE: Four suspects wanted after armed home invasion in Vaughan

York Regional Police are seeking four suspects following a home invasion in Vaughan.
Cops said that on Tuesday at about 11:20 p.m., officers responded to a home in the Grand Trunk Ave.-Carrier Cres. area and learned four suspects had allegedly forced their way into a residence through a rear door while armed with at least two firearms, a knife and a hammer.
Police said the suspects demanded jewelry and cash, but were unsuccessful and fled on foot.
A victim was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
Suspect No. 1 is a Black male, 18 to 20 years old and 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and carrying a firearm.
Suspect No. 2 is a brown male, 18 to 20 years old and 5-foot-9. He was carrying a firearm with a small barrel.
Suspect No. 3 is a Black male and 18 to 20 years old. He was carrying a hammer.
Suspect No. 4 is a Black male who was carrying a small knife.

PICKERING MAN ACCUSED OF INDECENT ACT AT PARK
A 37-year-old man has been charged after cops probed reports of an indecent act allegedly committed near a public park in Pickering.
Durham Regional Police said that on Monday at about 9:50 a.m., they responded to a sex offence call in the Diefenbaker Crt.-Valley Farm Rd. area.
Cops said a witness allegedly saw a naked male standing outside a tent committing an indecent act near a public playground
Steven Gaudette, of Pickering, is charged with committing an indecent act in a public place, criminal harassment, mischief-interfere with lawful enjoyment and disobeying a court order.
Cops said the same suspect was also allegedly involved in an April 4 incident. The victim also reported that the suspect allegedly chased after her before she entered a building. No physical injuries were reported.

WOMAN WANTED IN PARENTAL ABDUCTION PROBE
A nationwide warrant has been issued for Patricia Montero-Zambrano, 41, on charges of abduction by parent/custody order.
Durham Regional Police began an investigation in August 2024 after a mother had allegedly taken a five-year-old boy to Colombia and was refusing to return the child to Canada.
Cops said efforts are underway to retrieve the child and ensure his safe return to Canada.
