CRIME SCENE: Man, 20, accused of sexual assault in Richmond Hill pool

Cops in York Region have charged a man with an alleged sexual assault in a public pool and say they are seeking additional alleged victims.
On April 5, police say a swimmer at an indoor community centre pool in the Spadina and Weldrick Rds. area of Richmond Hill “was inappropriately touched by an unknown male as he swam by.”
Investigators issued a public appeal last week, and on Tuesday said that it had led to the identification of a suspect.
Milan Horvath, 20, of Richmond Hill, is charged with sexual assault.

Police released his image “as investigators believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging them to come forward.”

WOMAN ACCUSED OF HATE-MOTIVATED ASSAULT
A woman faces charges in relation to an alleged hate-motivated assault and threats incident last summer in Toronto.
Around 6:30 p.m. on August 13, 2024, Toronto Police say the suspect and victim were on public transit in the Keele St. and Finch Ave. W. area when “the victim was hit in the face by an unknown female suspect.”
Cops alleged in a statement Tuesday that “during the assault, the suspect uttered death threats and anti-Indian slurs towards the victim.”
Police say the victim, whose gender they did not released, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did not know the suspect.
On Saturday, Shevon Cooke, 34, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon or imitation weapon and uttering threats — death.
Toronto Police are treating the case as a suspected hate-motivated offence. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3500.
MAN CHARGED IN CANNABIS ROBBERY
A man is charged with armed robbery after the theft of cannabis products and cash from a store on Monday.
Toronto Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. in the Sheppard and Morningside Aves. area.
A man entered the store wearing a mask “to conceal his identity” and “produced a knife and made a demand for cash and cannabis products.”
He then fled with the items, however, 42 Division officers “responded to the area where they located the suspect and took him into custody and recovered a knife and the stolen items.
Tyvaughn Bailey, 22, of Toronto, is charged with robbery with offensive weapon, disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime, and disobey court order.
THREE SOUGHT FOR EAST YORK ROBBERY
Three male suspects are being sought following a robbery in East York.
Toronto Police said officers responded to a call Saturday at 3:25 p.m. for a robbery in the Chapman Ave. and Dawes Rd. area.
It is reported that three suspects approached the victim who was exiting his vehicle. One of the suspects brandished a knife and a demand was made for cash and the victim’s car keys.
The suspects then fled the area on foot, cops said. The victim was not hurt.

The first suspect is Black, 5-foot-9 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing white sweatpants, a grey Nike hoodie, black shoes, and a black balaclava.
The second suspect is white, 5-foot-6 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with writing on the back, grey jogging pants, black shoes, and a black balaclava.
The third suspect is white with a thin build. He was last seen wearing grey jogging pants and sweater, and a black balaclava.
