Peel Regional Police say they began investigating in May a report of a woman allegedly being trafficked over a period of time.

Cops allege the suspect created online advertisements, exercised control over aspects of the alleged victim’s life, and profited financially from it.

William Wylie has been charged with human trafficking, receiving material benefit, derive material benefit, procuring, and exercise control.

Investigators believe there may be additional alleged victims in the GTA and are urging them to contact 905-453-2121, ext. 3555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

TEENS CHARGED IN TTC STABBING

Two 15-year-old boys face charges after a stabbing on board a TTC bus Wednesday evening in Etobicoke.

Toronto Police say the bus was at Berry and Park Lawn Rds. just before 6 p.m. when it’s alleged a male youth boarded and proceeded directly to the back where another male youth was seated.

It’s further alleged a verbal and physical confrontation broke out between the two boys and one youth pulled out a concealed knife. Both youths were stabbed before fleeing the bus.

Police say the bus operator suffered minor injuries as one of the youths fled.

Two suspects, both from Toronto, were arrested and transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One boy is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for committing an offence, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with a release order.

MAN, 22, CHARGED IN ETOBICOKE MURDER

A 32-year-old man is now accused of killing an elderly man in Etobicoke two months ago.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a deadly stabbing at a residence at Bemersyde Dr. and Bournemouth Rd. – near Kipling and Eglinton Aves. – just after 2 p.m. on April 18.

The victim was found suffering from “significant injuries” and was pronounced dead at the scene, Const. Laura Brabant said in a statement released Thursday, adding a suspect was arrested at that time.

The city’s 22nd murder victim of the year was subsequently identified as Antonio Alonzi, 90, of Toronto.

His grandson – Massimo Alonzi, 32, also of Toronto – is now charged with second-degree murder.

Anyone with information regarding this murder is urged to call the Homicide unit at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

OVERDOSE ALERT IN TORONTO

Toronto Police are warning the public after four suspected drug overdoses between June 9 and 11 that appear to be caused by the same suspicious drug.

It’s reported that four people in the Dufferin St. and Eglinton Ave. W. area took a quantity of an unknown narcotic suspected to be an opioid and that three of them died from ingesting this drug.

Investigators are concerned there may be more of this suspicious drugs sold or given to others.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1300 or Crime Stoppers.

Police are advising people that if they are taking drugs, they should use extreme caution and not take them alone. If anyone suffers serious illness after consuming a narcotic, they should call 911, or go to an ER or a walk-in clinic.

ASSAULT SUSPECT

Cops in Toronto are requesting the public’s assistance in finding a man wanted on assault, mischief and utter threats charges.

On June 8, police say a man turned up at a residence in the Broadview Ave. and Gerrard St. E. area where he got into a verbal argument with the resident before allegedly assaulting the person — who is known to him, then fleeing.

Toronto Police say the man returned the next day to the residence where another verbal argument occurred before he allegedly damaged several items, threatened and then assaulted the person before leaving.

Sufyan Chaudry, 28, of Toronto, is wanted for two counts of assault, three counts of mischief under, and one count of utter threats of death or bodily harm.

He is described as 5-foot-9 with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.

TEEN BOY HIT CROSSING ROAD

A 14-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car Wednesday around 9:45 p.m. in the city’s east end.

Toronto Police say a 66-year-old man was driving a 2006 Infinity G35 sedan westbound on Kingston Rd. and approaching Claremore Ave. when he struck the victim walking northbound on Kingston Rd.

The boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and the driver remained at the scene.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators at 416-808-1900.

MOTORCYCLIST DEAD IN HAMILTON

Hamilton Police say an 18-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a bus on Wednesday night.

Cops say a northbound bus was turning left from Upper James Street into the Hamilton Street Railway bus terminal around 8:15 p.m. when it was hit by a southbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The 61-year-old bus driver was uninjured, and there were no passengers on the bus at the time.

WOMAN, 19, CAUGHT DRIVING 203 KM/H ON HWY. 403 on Hwy. 403

Beginners aren’t necessarily winners.

Case in Point: The OPP Highway Safety Division says a Mississauga officer caught a 19-year-old woman with a G1 licence – a beginner’s or learner’s permit – driving 203 km/h on Hwy. 403 around 3:50 a.m. on Thursday.

The driver was charged with seven driving offences, given a 30-day licence suspension and had her car impounded for 14 days.

The OPP Highway Safety Division ended their X posting with the hashtags #StuntDriving #SlowDown.
