CRIME SCENE: Violent federal offender found, man stabbed during Oshawa fight

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad has located a federal offender who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Investigators had said Tyler Closs, 26, was in breach of his statutory release on July 30.

Police on Aug. 9 said he had been apprehended in Sudbury by the local police service.
He is serving a four-year, six months and 10-day sentence for two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault peace officer, obstruct peace officer, assault, threats violence, and use of force.
STABBING DURING OSHAWA FIGHT
A man faces charges including fail to comply with probation order after another man was stabbed during a fight in Oshawa.
On Sunday at 12:55 a.m., Durham Regional Police say they responded to an armed person call in the area of Simcoe and Mill Sts.
They say two men were in an argument when one stabbed the other.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
At about 8:30 a.m. Monday, police found the suspect in the Simcoe and Albany Sts. area and took him into custody.
Anthony Murray, 35, of no fixed address, is charged with aggravated assault, possess weapon dangerous to the public, and fail to comply with probation order.

LOADED FIREARM SEIZED IN TRAFFIC STOP
A man and woman have been charged after cops seized a loaded firearm during a traffic stop in Markham.
York Regional Police say on Sunday afternoon they were patrolling the area of Lanark Rd. and Woodbine Ave. when a vehicle was stopped and cannabis was observed.
A search under the Cannabis Control Act uncovered a loaded firearm, cops allege.
Panel Mullins, 30, and Julia Llewellyn, 31, both of Ottawa, have been charged with possession of a loaded restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized.
HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER SOUGHT
Toronto Police are investigating a fail-to-remain collision that sent a pedestrian to hospital.
Police were called around 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday to Lawrence Ave. and Carnforth Rd. after a man was struck by a vehicle that didn’t remain at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
No information on the vehicle or driver was immediately released.
CRASH INTO CAFETO PATIO
A male driver has been arrested for impaired driving after a vehicle flipped and crashed into a downtown Toronto patio.
Toronto Police were called just after 4 a.m. Tuesday to the Yonge St. and Richmond Ave. area after a single-vehicle collision.
Cops say it flipped over and hit a CafeTO patio.
There were no injuries reported.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
