Toronto Police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect wanted for an alleged sex assault in North York early Thursday morning.
Police said officers responded shortly after 2 a.m. to a call for a sexual assault in the Finch Ave. E. and Leslie St. area.

According to police, the victim and suspect boarded the same TTC bus. The victim then exited the bus and the suspect followed and sexually assaulted the victim.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, cops said.
Investigators released images of the suspect, who is described as having a thin build with a goatee. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, grey shoes, a blue mask and was carrying a navy backpack and a red water bottle.

RIDESHARE DRIVER SEXUALLY ASSAULTED WOMEN: COPS
A 30-year-old rideshare driver is being accused of sexually assaulting two female customers after dropping them off at their destination in the city’s west end.
And Toronto Police are concerned there may be more victims.
Officers responded last Monday to a call for a sexual assault in the Weston Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W. area.
According to police, two female victims ordered a rideshare and exited the vehicle at their destination.
Cops allege the driver followed the victims into a nearby lobby and sexually assaulted both of them before he left the area in his vehicle.
Police described the suspect’s vehicle as a purple Toyota Rav 4.
On Wednesday, police arrested and charged Mohamed Abdulmalik Babiker, of Toronto, with two counts of sexual assault.

DOG ATTACK SUSPECT HUNTED
A suspect is being sought after two unleashed dogs attacked a person following a verbal argument near Baldwin Village earlier this month.
Toronto Police said officers responded shortly after 3:30 p.m. on July 3 to a call for an animal complaint in the Huron and Baldwin Sts. area.
According to police, the suspect was walking three dogs and two were unleashed. The suspect and victim got into a verbal argument and two unleashed dogs then charged and attacked the victim.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.
Investigators released images of the suspect.
He is described as 20- to 30-years-old with an athletic build and long black hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a black tank top, black shorts, black Converse shoes, and has tattoos on both arms.
The dogs are described as two black and one brown, possibly Pit Bull Terriers or a similar breed.

MALE HIT IN HEAD WITH GUN IN OSHAWA: COPS
Police are searching for two suspects after one person was assaulted with a gun near the General Motors auto plant in Oshawa late Friday night.
Durham Regional Police said the male victim is recovering from injuries after being hit in the head with the firearm.
Police said officers responded at approximately 11 p.m. to reports of an armed person in the area of Oxford St. and Malaga Rd.
According to police, officers arrived at the scene and learned that two males approached the victim and made a demand for his property.
The suspects then attempted to shoot the victim, but the gun failed to fire, cops said. After the failed attempt, police allege the victim was struck in the head with the firearm.
The suspects fled the area while the victim was transported to a local-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators didn’t provide a description of the suspects.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have any information or video surveillance to contact investigators.

COP INJURED AFTER DRIVER STRIKES POLICE VEHICLE
A Toronto Police officer was injured while investigating a suspected stolen vehicle in the downtown core late Friday night.
Police said on social media platform X that the officer received an Automated Licence Plate Recognition alert for a stolen vehicle at Bathurst and College Sts. at 10:25 p.m.
Cops said the suspect vehicle, a white car, struck the police vehicle and sustained front-end damage before fleeing the area.
The officer suffered a non-life-threatening injury, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing, cops added.
MAN STABBED IN TORONTO’S WEST END
A man in his 20s was transported to hospital following a stabbing in the city’s west end early Saturday morning.
Toronto Police said in a post on X that officers responded at approximately 1:25 a.m. to reports of a stabbing at Keele St. and Rotherham Ave., south of Eglinton Ave. W., in York.
Officers located the victim with stab wounds, cops said. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.

FATAL COLLISION CLOSES EASTBOUND HWY. 401
One person is dead following a collision in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 in the city’s west end Saturday morning, Ontario Provincial Police said.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said a male pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle on the highway around 5 a.m. near Dixon Rd. after he exited his SUV following a collision with a transport truck.
Three people were taken to hospital, Schmidt said.
The OPP closed the eastbound express lanes of Hwy. 401 at Dixie Rd. throughout the morning before opening them around noon.
