Peel Regional Police charged a tow truck driver with stunt driving on Monday.

Police clocked the driver speeding 116 km/h in a 70 km/h zone in the area of Hwy. 50 and Queen St. in Brampton.

The tow driver was charged with speeding, stunt driving, fail to complete a daily inspection, and fail to comply with towing safety standards.

The driver was given a 30-day license suspension and the vehicle was seized for 14 days.

MAN ARRESTED IN ASSAULTS ON WOMEN ON TRAIN

Police have arrested a man accused of assaulting two women in separate incidents at the Pickering GO Station a week ago Monday.

Christopher Otoo, the man wanted for the unprovoked attacks, was arrested in Toronto on Saturday.

Otoo was arrested by Toronto Police and held for bail.

Upon Otoo’s disposition of charges in Toronto, Durham Regional Police will proceed with an arrest warrant.

Durham Police have a warrant for Otoo for assault causing bodily harm, assault, theft under $5,000, and three counts of fail to comply with probation.

YOUNG WOMEN FACE DRUG CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

Halton Regional Police arrested two young women and laid multiple charges after a traffic stop in Oakville.

On Saturday, at 1:30 a.m., police tried making a traffic stop in the area of Kobzar Dr. and Travertine Dr., but the vehicle drove away at a high rate of speed,

Police stopped the vehicle using a tire deflation device near Trafalgar Rd. on the eastbound lanes of the Hwy. 407.

The two females were taken into custody.

PERSONAL INJURY INVESTIGATION

Toronto Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, at 6:20 p.m., police were called to a personal injury collision in the area of Victoria Park Ave. and Pachino Blvd.

Police say a grey or silver SUV was driving northbound on Victoria Park Ave. while a 63-year-old male pedestrian was crossing the road from the east side to the west side.

The SUV struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

PASSED OUT OCCUPANTS IN RUNNING CAR TRY TO FLEE POLICE

Toronto Police are investigating after finding a running vehicle with open doors and passed out occupants.

Police say it happened Tuesday morning at 9:42 a.m. at Adams Park in Scarborough’s West Rouge area.

The occupants tried to flee, but after a foot pursuit three people were arrested.

One person is outstanding.

The investigation is ongoing.

MAN SOUGHT AFTER REMOVING ANKLE BRACELET: COPS

A 20-year-old Toronto man is wanted for two counts of failing to comply with a release order after allegedly removing his ankle bracelet and fleeing from police.

Toronto Police said officers were conducting a bail compliance check on Wednesday at about 10 a.m. in the Warden Ave.-Bell Estate Rd. area.

Kayshaun Robertson is currently before the courts for two counts of attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a weapon, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, using a firearm while committing an offence, and two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

SUSPECT WANTED FOR EAST-END MOTORCYCLE THEFT

Police are trying to identify a suspect accused of stealing a motorcycle in the east end.

Toronto Police said officers were called on Nov. 13 at 6:46 a.m. for a motorcycle theft in the Danforth Ave.-Main St. area.

Police alleged that the suspect entered an underground parking lot and stole a 2023 Suzuki GSXR600 with the Ontario licence plate 3W3X7.

The suspect was last seen in the Coxwell-Danforth Aves. area. He is 20-25 years old with a thin build and clean-shaven. He was wearing a black jacket, black and grey sweater, black jeans and grey shoes.

SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN EAST-END ASSAULT

Witnesses and video footage are sought after one person was assaulted with a blunt object in the east end.

Toronto Police said officers responded on Monday at about 3 a.m. for an assault call in the Pape-Danforth Aves. area.

Police said the victim was speaking with two suspects when they were assaulted from behind with a blunt object.

The suspects fled in a silver Dodge Caravan.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
