CRIME SCENE: Woman sought in aggravated assault in Toronto

Toronto Police say they’re looking for a woman who fled after striking someone with “a solid object” in a downtown-area commercial building.
Police said the woman and the victim got into an argument on July 27 around 9:30 p.m. in a commercial building in the York-Harbour Sts. area.
“The suspect assaulted the victim using a solid object; the victim sustained serious injuries,” said a police statement. “The suspect fled the area on foot.”
Police said their suspect has a medium build, long blond hair and was last seen wearing a small backpack, black tights, and a dark-coloured crop top.
Suspect charged after stabbing
A 38-year-old Guelph man faces an attempted murder charge after a stabbing in the Kensington Market area.
Toronto Police officers say they found a man with stab wounds and a woman who had been assaulted when they responded around 5 a.m. Sunday to Wales and Bellevue Aves. in the Dundas St.-Denison Ave. area.

The wounded man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers identified a suspect who was later detained in Niagara Region.
Murtaza Khaja Sadiavia faces charges of attempted murder, assault, and criminal harassment.
Firearms charges
An 18-year-old man faces firearm charges after a cyclist and e-scooter rider ended up in an argument in Whitby.
Durham Regional Police say on Friday around 1:20 p.m., officers responded to the Dundas-Garden Sts. area in Whitby after a cyclist and e-scooter rider collided and started arguing.
Bystanders advised officers that one of the men walked away and discarded his backpack. Police alleged they found a firearm inside the backpack.
Jhavane Hanson, of Whitby, faces charges, including possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm.
E-bike rider injured
An man faces several charges after an e-bike rider was seriously injured in a collision in Oshawa.
Durham Regional Police reported that on Sunday around 10 p.m., an e-bike rider was travelling north on Sommerville Rd. when they were struck by a van travelling eastbound on Taunton Rd.
The van driver allegedly fled and the e-bike rider was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, said police.
Tyler Donovan, 30, Oshawa, is charged with numerous offences including failing to remain at an accident.
Fatal collision
York Regional Police are appealing for witnesses after a 69-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Vaughan Saturday night.
Police said officers responded around 11 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision involving SUVs at the intersection of Hwy. 27 and Rutherford Rd.
One SUV caught fire after the collision, but passengers were able to exit the vehicle. A Vaughan woman in the rear of the second SUV involved was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ten other people were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
