Driver faces charges after woman, 10 vehicles allegedly hit by car in Scarborough

A 36-year-old Markham man faces six charges after he allegedly crashed into a pedestrian and several parked cars in Scarborough on Sunday night.
Around 9:19 p.m., Toronto Police responded to a call in the Passmore Avenue and Middlefield Road area after it’s alleged a man driving a black Acura TLX westbound on Passmore Avenue hit a 45-year-old woman.
It’s further alleged the Acura then collided with several parked or stationary vehicles in the area and the driver of the Acura attempted to flee on foot but was arrested by officers arriving on scene.
Cops say the female pedestrian, along with five occupants in various vehicles, were treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say in total, 10 vehicles were either indirectly or directly involved and sustained various degrees of damage.
Kareem Mohammed has been charged with two counts of fail to stop at scene of accident, and one count of possession of a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and two impaired-related charges.
