Toronto Police say officers responded to the hit-and-run in the area of Sheppard Ave. E. and Bridlewood Blvd. – just east of Pharmacy Ave. – shortly after 9 p.m.
“It is reported that a 32-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Sheppard Ave. E.,” Const. Laura Brabant said in a statement released Saturday. “A black Hyundai Sonata was travelling eastbound on Sheppard Ave. E. when the driver struck the pedestrian.”
She said the pedestrian “succumbed to her injuries on scene.”

And the driver fled the area heading east on Sheppard Ave. E.
Police said officers located a 2011 Hyundai Sonata with Ontario licence plate CTCN 951 on Friday night with extensive damage to the front end and windshield of the vehicle.
The suspect vehicle was found parked at an apartment building less than a kilometre away from where the victim was killed, cops said.
