On the heels of the Paris Olympics, the oldest competing skateboarder this year, Great Britain’s Andy Macdonald, 51, will make his CNE debut, joining a lineup of pro skaters, BMX riders and inline skaters for The Ex Games at the Canadian National Exhibition this year.
The CNE said some of the world’s best extreme athletes will put on a high-flying show on a 12-foot halfpipe in front of the iconic Princes’ Gates with three performances daily at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The Ex Games are the CNE’s take on the X Games, which have served as an Olympics of sorts for extreme sports since 1995.
Back for its 145th year, the CNE runs from Aug. 16 to Sept. 2.
