Female dragged into wooded area of High Park and sexually assaulted: Cops

Toronto Police are warning people in the High Park area after a female pedestrian was dragged off a pathway and sexually assaulted.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday around 10:40 p.m. in the Howard Park Ave. and Parkside Dr. area.

The female — whose age police did not release — was walking on a paved pathway in the High Park area when she was approached from behind by an unknown male who dragged her into a wooded area of the park where she was sexually assaulted.

Police said the victim “was able to get away from the suspect and sought assistance from a passerby in the area who called police.” The man fled.

The female suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The wanted man is described as Black with a dark complexion, about 30 to 40 years old and 5-foot-10 with a slim, athletic build. He was wearing a T-shirt and dark-coloured pants.
