The long weekend is here and forecast-wise, expect a typical mixed bag of spring weather complete with warm and less-than-warm temperatures, sunshine and rain — so dress accordingly.

There are plenty of light shows to celebrate Victoria Day, it just depends on where you happen to be.

There’s Ashbridges Bay Park and Canada’s Wonderland, of course, with both shows starting around 10 p.m.

And don’t forget, CaféTO kicks off the 2025 season this weekend and runs until October.

Here’s what you need to know to make the necessary plans.

International Food + Drink Festival

Celebrate food and culture with a diverse showcase of flavours from around the work with everything from gourmet specialties to sizzling street food.

Sip on beer, wine, cider, spirits and cocktails while enjoying live music, a marketplace, busker performances, interactive cooking demonstrations, games and more.

Note: It’s a cashless event where food and drinks must be purchased with tokens at $1 each.

Head to Harbourfront Centre (west of the main building and north of the concert stage) on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. and Monday from noon to 8 p.m.

Toronto Halal Bites Festival

Enjoy an extravaganza of a food, culture and art festival celebrating diverse halal cuisine, community and artistic expression.

Expect the unexpected including an art gallery and live installations, cultural performances, a live-cooking show, interactive exhibits, a kids zone and more.

Experience it all at Nathan Phillips Square on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

Rock & Roll Revival

Listen to incredible live music that will fill the streets of the Distillery all weekend long with the sounds of rock’s golden era.

Visitors can order food and drinks right to their patio table on Trinity (look for the yellow umbrellas!) from El Catrin and District Pizza. There’s also games set up around the site to keep the family fun going.

This weekend’s set list features Kirt Godwin on Saturday, Terrence the Pianoman on Sunday and King Davis on Monday, all from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Distillery District is also open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday from noon to 5 p.m.

Break TO @ STC 2025

This epic breakdance competition showcases a high-energy, two-on-two battle featuring some of the best B-boys and B-girls.

The competition features Canadian Olympic gold medallist Phil Wizard, who will bring his world-class expertise to the floor as a guest judge along with Burn and Tafiya while DJ Yaks is on the decks.

The spectacular event is on Saturday at 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Scarborough Town Centre’s centre court.

Vaughan Ribfest

In what might be the first ribfest of the year, head north of the city where five of North America’s best teams will be ready to serve you all the mouthwatering grub your meat-loving heart desires.

There’s also live music featuring amazing tribute bands, performances from local bands, midway rides, carnival games and more.

Get your bibs on and get ready to eat at Assembly Park in Vaughan on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. and Monday from noon to 7 p.m.

Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest

The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park kicks off its 2025 major event season with an action-packed three days of racing that showcases the country’s top stock car racers.

But for those who want to take a break from the racing, there’s a ton of off-track excitement including vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, interactive displays and fireworks on Saturday at dusk.

And don’t forget, you can camp out, too!
