Five people face dozens of charges as part of Project Regal – a lengthy investigation that began in Oakville and Brampton to dismantle an alleged GTA drug supply network.
Halton Regional Police say eight search warrants were executed at residences in Oakville, Brampton and Toronto between Feb. 8 and 10.
And among the items seized were allegedly 11 kilograms of cocaine, 1/2 kilogram of methamphetamine, three ounces of fentanyl, two loaded firearms (Sig Sauer and Glock handguns equipped with an extended magazine), two Kevlar vests, approximately $250,000 of bundled currency, and a re-vinned BMW sedan.

Tristan Bonnick, 33, of Brampton, faces two drug-related charges; Joseph Campbell, 31, of Oakville, faces 23 drug-related charges; Shaun Homem, 37, of Brampton, faces eight drug and weapons-related charges; Brendon Rego, 30, of Brampton, faces 12 drugs and weapons-related charges; and Damion Rego, 31, of Orangeville, faces seven drugs and weapons-related charges.

“Project Regal demonstrates an unwavering commitment to keeping our communities safe,” Insp. Raf Skwarka, of Regional Investigative Services, said in a statement.
“Organized crime groups that traffic dangerous drugs such as fentanyl, and methamphetamine put lives at risk every day. The seizure of these drugs, firearms, and other stolen property sends a strong message – we will not tolerate this criminal activity in our region. Public safety remains our top priority, and we will continue to work tirelessly to hold those who threaten it accountable.”
