Fire crews rescued at least six people from a burning apartment building in North York, but one person was found dead after the blaze was doused.

One person was sent to hospital in stable condition and others were treated at the scene by medics, he said.
Sadly, one person was later found dead on an eighth floor balcony.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and those affected by this tragic loss,” Pegg said in a message posted on Twitter Saturday morning.
About 100 personnel and 22 trucks responded to the fire.
