Four men charged in Toronto gun and drug bust

Four men face charges after an alleged drug deal on Queen Street West led to the seizure of multiple firearms.

Toronto Police claim officers patrolling the area of Queen St. W. and Bathurst St. spotted a drug deal between two people on Wednesday.

A 38-year-old man was subsequently arrested.

Nathaniel Williams, of Toronto, was charged with trafficking a schedule 1 substance; assault with intent to resist or prevent arrest; possession of a schedule 1 substance for trafficking; and possession of proceeds of property or thing obtained by crime under $5000.

“The Toronto Police Drug Squad was simultaneously conducting an investigation into Nathaniel Williams and a search warrant was executed,” Const. Ashley Visser said in a statement released Saturday.

“It is alleged that at the time of the search, officers recovered two loaded firearms, ammunition, three replica firearms, a bayonet and drug paraphernalia.”

Williams was additionally charged with two counts of traffic in a schedule I substance; possession of proceeds of crime under $5000; two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a license; two counts of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate; two counts of storing a firearm carelessly; three counts of storing ammunition carelessly; and failure to comply with a release order.

Visser said three men found in the residence were also arrested and charged.

Mubarek Ajetunmobi, 18, of Toronto, is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a license; two counts of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate; two counts of storing a firearm carelessly, three counts of storing ammunition carelessly; and breach of a probation order.

Emmanuel Grant, 19, of Toronto, is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a license; two counts of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate; two counts of storing a firearm carelessly, three counts of storing ammunition carelessly; breach of a probation order; and failure to comply with a probation order.

Joel Drummond, 18, of Oshawa, is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a license; two counts of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate, two counts of storing a firearm carelessly; and three counts of storing ammunition carelessly.
