The occupants of a vehicle are sought after fleeing the scene of a crash where a firearm was found Friday night in Scarborough.

Toronto Police say officers responded to the area of Birchmount Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E. just before 8 p.m. after a speeding vehicle was involved in a collision.

The occupants of the suspect vehicle took off.
But police say a gun was located.
One person from the other vehicle involved in the crash was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
