Hamilton Police said officers with the Division 30 High Enforcement Action Team initiated a drug trafficking investigation in early January.
According to police, cops made observations that they say clearly showed evidence of drug dealing in the Hamilton region over the span of several weeks.
On Thursday, officers executed search warrants for a residence and motor vehicle on the Hamilton mountain.
During the search of the home, police said officers located 24.1 grams of cocaine, unknown pills believed to be a controlled substance, a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.
Stephen Chesney was arrested and charged with cocaine possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.
