Investigators are renewing their appeal for witnesses in the 2023 homicide of a 50-year-old mortgage broker in Vaughan.

York Regional Police say officers responded to a call for an injured person at a residence in the area of Laskin Dr. near Ilan Ramon Blvd. just before 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2023.

Officers found a deceased male inside the house with a significant head injury and the death was deemed to be a homicide.

The victim was identified as Rakesh “Rick” Joshi, of Vaughan.

Police have now released images of a possible suspect and of a vehicle, described as a black Porsche 911 Turbo made between 2006-2009, believed to be linked to this investigation.

Cops are appealing to the public for assistance and are looking to speak with anyone who may have information surrounding this incident.
