Man, 30, identified as victim of west-end Toronto shooting

A 30-year-old man has now been identified as the victim of a deadly shooting in the city’s west end on Tuesday morning.

Toronto Police say officers responded to the shooting on Osler St. – east of Old Weston Rd. – just after 5 a.m.

“Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds,” Det.-Sgt. Stacey McCabe said Wednesday.

The Homicide investigator said the shooter, or shooters, fled the area prior to police arrival.

“Life-saving measures were commenced, but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene,” McCabe said.

The slain man has now been identified as Ikeba Fraser, a Toronto resident.
