Man, 33, wanted for York Region motel shooting

A 33-year-old King man is wanted for attempted murder, aggravated assault and six weapon-related offences.
York Regional Police say a warrant has been issued for Andrew Joseph Pitre following a shooting at a motel in the area of Yonge St. and Queensville Sideroad around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds and he was taken to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim has since been released from hospital.
Investigators have subsequently identified Pitre a suspect.
Pitre is considered armed and dangerous and if seen, citizens are urged not to approach him but to call police immediately.
Pitre is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in.
The investigation is ongoing.
