A 35-year-old man is accused of robbing a Scarborough store at gunpoint Tuesday while he was already under a court order not to possess firearms.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a call involving a person with a gun in the Sheppard Ave. E.-Markham Rd. area around 4:40 p.m.
“It is alleged that a man entered a store and approached the checkout counter,” Const. Laura Brabant said in a statement released Wednesday. “He produced a handgun and made a demand for cash.
“A customer entered the store, causing the man to flee the store empty-handed.”
