Man, 44, accused of attempted murder after Hamilton collision

A 44-year-old Hamilton man faces attempted murder and other charges stemming a motor vehicle collision earlier this month.

Hamilton Police say officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Beach Rd. and Woodleigh Ave. around 11:25 p.m. on March 9 and found a female suffering from serious injuries as a result of being hit by a vehicle.

The woman was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested at a residence in Halton Region on March 15 and has also been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm

Investigators are asking drivers in the area at the time of the incident to check their dash cameras while also appealing to homeowners to review any camera footage that they may have during that time.
