Responding officers found the man had barricaded himself inside the home.

“Police contained the residence and negotiations took place throughout the day with the barricaded man,” the SIU said in a statement.

“In the late afternoon, a drone was sent into the residence,” the SIU explained. “It revealed the man lying on the floor with blood visible around him.”

The man was pronounced dead soon after.
